Re-piecing the Landscape
Following on with my work into re-piecing and re-assembling the landscape, I recently showcased a triptych of works titled ‘Seismic Shift’ in this year’s Liverpool Art Fair 2015.
This new series connects pieces to create new and imagined ‘Landscapes of thought’. Inter-twining both physical and perceived aspects of our lives (including memory and reflection). These new works of mine start to take on a sculptural quality not only in the shape of the paper and the mixed media used (including acrylic, collage, gloss paint, spray paint, luminescent glitter and soft pastel) but also in the pinning of pieces together. They are both beautiful, delicate yet disorderly.
