The New Year is almost upon us and I hope you’ve had a great Christmas. “Another day, another dollar” is an old saying but I always try to be more mindful about what I’d like to do in the forthcoming year rather than settling into a boring work routine. I don’t set exact goals per say but I do set mindful intentions, like moving forward productively with my painting and photographic work. As part of my practice I have in my mind that I’d like to pursue bigger installation projects incorporating this new work.
Which brings me onto a new group show titled ‘Mono’ which I’ll be taking part in this coming January 2017. The theme of the show calls for monochrome art using black and white, different shades of a single colour or greyscale.
A new A2 photographic piece of mine will go on display to the public for the first time. The overarching synopsis for this new work is based on the landscape as a blend of humankind and nature. The PV is on Thursday 12th Jan from 6pm at Manchester-based studios and gallery space, PS Mirabel. Hope to see you there.
Happy New Year!!
